I planted 4 Japanese maples, Irish moss in and around stones, 3 types of tall grasses, marginal plants consist of 2 colors of water irises, parrot feather, dwarf cattails, dwarf papyrus, oxygenators...Anacharis and 3 colors of water lillies, and pink Mediterranean heather

I love my pond the only problem I have is finding homes for the extra goldfish that are born every year.

My koi have only had 2.

Hope you enjoy the links, Good Luck!

Reply:go online and try finding native plants/flowers that would not require extra care/chemicals. this way you would have a beautiful, effortless landscape and a balanced environment around your lake.
Reply:I would plant flowers and plants that thrive on water, since your roots in time will reach out towards the water. Add color around your Pond, mix flowers with greenery. Ask at your Local Lowes or other Plant Distributor what are some good plants to use around Water . Make sure they are perrenials and NOT annuals, or you will have to replant each year.super nanny
